Why this shop is cheap, and who is behind it

A fair question when a tracker costs this little: who is selling it, where does it come from, and what has been left out to get the price down? Here is the whole answer, awkward parts included.

The name at the bottom of the invoice

The shop is run by BH Commerce Ltd, a very small company registered in England and Wales with its registered office in Manchester. The people who write these pages answer the emails and stick the labels on the jiffy bags, and there is no call centre standing between you and them.

The registered name, the company number and the registered office are printed at the foot of this page, because a shop that sells things cheaply ought to be easier to look up rather than harder, and Companies House is a click away.

What the low price buys, and what it leaves out

The tags are unbranded hardware, relabelled as the Homing Tag. They carry an MFi certified chip, which is what lets them join Apple’s Find My network, and that is where the money goes. What we have left out is the rest: no Ultra Wideband arrow, no colour choice, no glossy retail box, and no advertising campaign with a famous voice reading the script over it.

Cheap gets used as an insult, so let us be blunt: undercutting the obvious alternative is the whole pitch here, and we would rather explain what that costs you than pretend it costs you nothing. If the precise on-screen arrow is the feature you came for, buy the expensive tag. If a map, a left-behind nudge and something loud will do, this will do it.

Where the stock sits, and who posts it

Nothing here is drop-shipped. The tags are imported in bulk and then sit on a shelf in the UK until somebody orders a box, at which point a person picks it, packs it and posts it with Royal Mail from a UK address. Nothing is forwarded from a warehouse on the far side of the world.

The upshot is that no customs charge can land on you, because nothing crosses a border after you have paid. It is a domestic parcel to a domestic address: no handling fee at the door, no card through the letterbox demanding money before you are allowed your own post.

The Android answer, which we are not going to bury

The Homing Tag works through Apple’s own Find My network. That network is what gives the tag its range and its accuracy: every passing Apple device quietly relays a position, which is a thing no shop our size could ever build. It is Apple’s network, though, not ours. There is no Android app, there never will be, and no support email will unlock a workaround.

So if you carry an Android phone, do not buy this. Not "buy it and see", it will not work, and you will be posting it back. Find My and AirTag are Apple’s trademarks and this shop is independent: not endorsed by Apple, not connected to it, not speaking for it. We sell a tag their network is willing to carry, and that is the whole claim.

Getting it to you, and getting rid of it

Orders are dispatched quickly, with Royal Mail; the exact timings, the delivery cost and the length of the refund window are all written down on the Shipping & Returns page, rather than paraphrased here. The promise in words is simple: it leaves us quickly, it does not hang about on its way to you, and postage within the UK costs you nothing.

Changing your mind is not an argument you have to win. If the tags are not for you, send them back inside the window on that page and the money comes back, no reason asked for, no credit note pushed at you instead. A cheap tracker is not a licence to be awkward about refunds.

If you need a human, you get a human

Email lands in an inbox that a person reads on working days, and the reply comes from that person, not from a queue with a reference number. The address is on the contact page, with a form that lands in the same inbox. There is no phone line, and pretending otherwise would waste your afternoon.

That is the bit people worry about with a cheap shop, and fairly: plenty of them go quiet the moment the money clears. Find My Item Tracker is the front of a registered company with an address and an inbox, printed below. Cheap is a price, not a disappearing act.
